Hello List Mates,
Of all the shades... not to mention colors. Why has openSUSE chosen black for the installer, bootsplash, kdm theme and wallpaper?
Yeah, I really hate it not even beeing able find my mouse or keyboard right in front of the monitor when the room lights are off as usually. I mean this seriously! :)
Also on cheap/old monitors black looks mostly broken. Thus a "black OS" may often look more ugly as a "bright OS".
There are other shades that you can use to accent the inner frame and buttons. What about some color. Have you seen Mint?
I don't care much about particular colors but guess I liked the green ones most.

You're right. It's easy to lose the mouse with too much black. Especially when encountering a graphics problem. If they're going with black, it would look better to add some texture to the black. i.e. black shale And, add a gradient to the frame, titlebar, buttons and sunken scrollbar etc. -- Cheers!
