After being blocked for years in its devel project for no reason, Ardour is now available in openSUSE Tumbleweed.
The reason seems to have been the license.
Yes, and reading the message would have helped. It only states the compiled binary can't be GPL-2.0, not that GPL-3.0 wouldn't be acceptable.
I also hope that 7.0 will be in factory soon. Is there anything we mortals can do to help? I saw that 7.0 is blocked by qm-dsp which in turn is blocked by libatlas3 in the home:ecsos:ardour repo.
I have prepared the 7.0 package. I was hoping to see a 7.0.1 release to fix the post-release bugs but it didn't happen yet. I'll submit it today to the devel project
