I just discovered a strange problem. I wanted to go to the console, hit ctr-alt-f1 as usual, but nothing happens. I just can´t go to the console. I tried all f keys from f1 to f10, nothing works...
The console is like locked up. I use the drivers from nVidia, any issues there? Using driver version 319.17. Kernel is 3.9.4-11.g51bf0ff-desktop on openSUSE 12.3 Tumbleweed.
Do you have any clue what might be wrong there?
Problem with late versions, but not Tw itself. When you boot, boot to runlevel 3 first, and then 5, and before completing level 5 login screen, go back to a console screen as root and issue "rcxdm stop", "rcxdm start". Complete your login screen and you should be able to use the consoles.
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=811185 I've been debugging this one a good part of last week and I have a patch which is semi-fixing this. Hopefully, I'll get it resolved this wekk. -- Frederic Crozat <fcrozat@suse.com> SUSE -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
