Hi,
I found that libreoffice requires java-11-openjdk. When I was about to uninstall this version, zypper reminded me that the uninstalled package will contain libreoffice-base.
I wonder is there any particular reason why libreoffice uses java-11-openjdk?
If you are talking about in Leap, SUSE still provides java-11-openjdk for SLES and generally won't change major version within the period of the major version.
According to https://endoflife.date/java , openJDK 11 ended active support. Is it time to switch dependencies to openJDK 17?
SUSE is still providing security fixes for the versions in Leap so its unlikely that they will switch by default. -- Simon Lees (Simotek) http://simotek.net Emergency Update Team keybase.io/simotek SUSE Linux Adelaide Australia, UTC+10:30 GPG Fingerprint: 5B87 DB9D 88DC F606 E489 CEC5 0922 C246 02F0 014B
