Desktop OS, server most ppl need to print. HPLIP as I told you before are not installed on my system, why don't you ask yourself why it is on yours?
Because I left the installer on Automatic Configuration and somehow it decided to install it, and enable it. I do not have a printer connected on install, let alone an HP one, let alone a multifunction one. This is a decision made by the installer, automatically.
So may be it's something in GNOME that pulls it in then, as I didn't get it with KDE3 + KDE4, and I was doing a quick DVD install, rather than hand picking packages. Next time I install 11.1, I'll see if HPLIP is something I deselected. For a 128 MiB RAM board, just selecting the default automatic configuration, is unlikely to be optimal. You mentioned LTSP for instance, so the application selection would be different from a stand alone machine. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
