I have some connections to AK Vorrat, should we sort of get ready to get them now I get it. So the fact that all browser tabs are affected at once although there should be different latencies to different servers, indicates that there is an SSL man-in-the-middle proxy at Vodafone.
We are trying to tell you something is fishy in the network or equipment.,this does not precludes the existence of buggy SSL library users (I have seen suspicious or obviously buggy code already, you do not need to convince me of that) I would suspect all CPE first, sometimes there are configured unknown to you as multi function devices.. if vodaphone really runs a MITM proxy you have a news-coverage-worthy problem.
Could it be some sort of a "proxy cache" as Telefónica (Spain) implemented years ago (for plain http), then they had to dismantle because of the complains? The purpose at the time was simply to save bandwidth for them, but it resulted in disaster. Webs would complain of too many connections coming from the same IP and block that IP, thus blocking all clients. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 15.1 x86_64 at Telcontar)
