I have had a problem now for a week or so where sound in flash plays in firefox or with flashplayer, MPlayer and other stuff plays on /dev/dsp, but other programs report hw:0 or /dev/dsp busy, e.g my SDR programs, so I have had to use hw:1 and hw:2 with those. Previously I was able to use card0 and card1. I have tried closing firefox, opera, konqueror and thunderbird in case they were holding on to it. # cat /proc/asound/cards 0 [SB ]: HDA-Intel - HDA ATI SB HDA ATI SB at 0xf7df8000 irq 16 1 [Live ]: EMU10K1 - SB Live! 5.1 [SB0060] SB Live! 5.1 [SB0060] (rev.7, serial:0x80611102) at 0xb880, irq 20 2 [USB ]: USB-Audio - E-MU 0404 | USB E-MU Systems, Inc.
