I've read that Intel has addressed the spectre issue with a hardware change in their newer CPUs. That is the only way.

Great. I'm keeping an eye out for *towers* that are already put together and barebones PCs.
I seek to keep the box, but replace the MB, CPU, RAM, and GPU. Maybe I will have to replace the PSU as well.
