It doesn't hang. Patience is a virtue :-).
Might be true, but there must be a bug somewhere. I solved it by "zypper rm" all kernel-devel and kernel-source packages, which went like a charm, "zypper clean", to remove already downloaded packages, and "zypper in kernel-devel kernel-source", to install. It all was done in just a few minute, if not one minute.
If kernel-source is participating here, the "check for file conflicts" may be the part of the routine that causes the delay. When there are too many kernel-sources installed, this check takes really long. Werner --
