Hello all, Thanks to tremendous effort of multiple individuals and last minute hotfixes from Martin we have a staging project to test the 2.0 of Rpmlint. We have staging project for it https://build.opensuse.org/project/show/openSUSE:Factory:Staging:M Overall it seems greenish enough, there are fails where it actually found something thats really wrong :-) Except Makefile-junk which needs some stern looking into yet. The rpmlint underwent complete redesign and now behaves like python application with all the bells and whistles. You can see how long the road was at https://github.com/rpm-software-management/rpmlint/milestone/1 We also have some plans to what to focus on next https://github.com/rpm-software-management/rpmlint/milestone/4 What we need now and can’t really do on our own is to check if it is not outputing absolute misleading garbage in level of warnings and other errors. If you could look up on your stuff and open tickets on github if you find something severly wrong there it would be avesome: https://github.com/rpm-software-management/rpmlint/issues Given the rewrite and upstreaming of most of openSUSE changes it might suddenly scan way more stuff than it used to and thus either expose something or be completely and utterly wrong. Cheers Tom
