Hi,
I get this:
Tumbleweed:~ # zypper install vmware-guest-kmp-desktop Loading repository data... Reading installed packages... Resolving package dependencies...
Problem: nothing provides kernel-uname-r = 4.0.5-3-desktop needed by vmware-guest-kmp-desktop-9.10.0_k4.0.5_3-2.2.x86_64 Solution 1: do not install vmware-guest-kmp-desktop-9.10.0_k4.0.5_3 -2.2.x86_64 Solution 2: break vmware-guest-kmp-desktop-9.10.0_k4.0.5_3 -2.2.x86_64 by ignoring some of its dependencies

Without those tools, I can't resize the virtual machine or copy-paste between host and guest.
But I don't know what esactly is the package it is missing: "kernel-uname-r = 4.0.5-3-desktop"
Maybe... the vmware-guest-kmp-desktop package is built against kernel 4.0.5-3-desktop, which is old, the current one is 4.1.3-2-desktop :-?
Bug? Worth a report?
The KMP package fails to build - you can 'safely' ignore this one though.. (brak dependencies for now) you only need the tools. There is only one kernel module left, which is the vmhgfs, which allows for easy host server access of file systems. All other modules have been merged into the kernel and the open-vm-tools will work without the vmhgfs module. As this is likely going to be broken for a while, I'll disable building of the KMP and remove the dependency on the kmp package for now.
