Seems this update is adding icons (via "pin") to the taskbar on first login after install, generally 2 or 3 of the same ones i already have on the taskbar plus "Discover" - to remove, right click and "unpin".
Cannot confirm.
All my other icons are there by "add widgets"
That's my preference, too. Icons appear bigger, and keep there.
On my 2 30" screens, one taskbar is dedicated to the workspace switcher for 12 workspaces, and the other taskbar carries most of everything else.
