While I understand your frustration, I think a polemic reply like this is not appropriate here. After all I was posting this here to debate whether or not cutting down on vendor patches, which generally means *less* trouble for both maintainers and users is worth it. This was done exactly to *avoid* "breaking the system in even fancier ways" because I am aware that this is a change the scope of which goes far beyond dracut. Anyway, the change you are experiencing issues with has been reverted, and after looking over the package update and the issue comments, I think I have found a fix for the issue. It's not my package, so I wasn't notified. But again, it is not helpful to the discussion to drag this into this context. Raising this in a new thread would have done just the same.
