Let's keep this conversation on the topic of what people are willing to actually step up and build. Wishes and dreams are all fine, but we really need to know what people are willing to help build in reality as opposed to an ideal dream world.
The question is, in it's current state where ALP is basically developed in IBS, is there even a way how people CAN contribute? I'm saying this as someone who maintains a couple of Tumbleweed packages, and despite several attempts to bring some of them to Leap I gave up at some point because it was basically impossible. I'm saying this to ensure we're not repeating the same unfortunate situation for ALP, where the statement that the community should take care of this matter, is met with an impenetrable process that does not allow easily for contributions outside of the corporate walls (hyperbolism intentionally for drama). It is easy to contribute to Tumbleweed because it comes before corporate requirements (I believe). It's almost impossible to do the same for Leap, where compliance and convergence (aka closing the Leap gap) is a main goal. I truly hope for ALP we can find a way, to make community contributions as simple as it is for Tumbleweed, despite it's prime resources being located in IBS (with all attached requirements). Best, Felix
