Hi, I've discovered that kid3 in Leap was built against kde4/qt4 due to a "%if %{suse_version} > 1320" without the extra " || 0%{?suse_version} == 1315 && 0%{?is_opensuse} == 1" which is what's needed to include kf5/qt5 in the build. This means that a Leap user with kde5 will pull in unnecessary packages and kid3 won't appear as it should. I've fixed this and it's on it's way to factory but does this warrant a Leap:42.1 update?
I guess that the first thing that has to be checked is if somebody raised a bug report for it. If yes, then you already have the starting point for a maintenance update of the package. Otherwise you could raise a bug report yourself and then submit the package as maintenance update.
