After last update I notice an extremely delayed XFCE desktop starting.
I input my login at lightdm-greeter as usual with XFCE selected then it last almost 2 minutes before XFCE desktop becomes ready to be used.
Would like to know what could have caused this issue, since so far the XFCE starting was extremely fast!
I cannot replicate it. Please open a bug tracker with systemd logs and we can try to find out what it is.
Best,
Maurizio
Salve Maurizio,
I'm just running a new zypper dup right now and I see there are some new xfce packages coming in the list.
I will try some workaround before eventually open a bug tracker, may be it being just a silly issue.
Best regards,
The weird thing is that nobody else has complained about the slowness of XFCE DE starting time after the most recent Tumbleweed updates. Unluckily, despite having tried several things including removal of some of the XFCE plugins on the tool bar, the slowness at starting the DE persists. To be honest also my secondary DE (Cinnamon) is far slower to become available after the most recent Tumbleweed updates, then generally speaking, I can see an overall degraded performance of the system.
