Have to blow some steam about the following: A fact is that incomplete updates, due to unfullfilled deps, cause very much trouble, and a lot of extra work, which cost a lot of time, which is mostly not available... To illustrate: an inconsistent browser, due to some missing pkgs, crashed after downloading 93% from the beta3-dvd. 4h and 29m gone in the drain.. - - second try power disturbance crashed the box, 3h 24m down the drain, - - third attempt: source could not be read, after 4h 16m, dl can not be resumed... - - Now i am at the 4th attempt, at 50% 2h 44m to go.... (hope i get it complete and OK. DVD is big to download...) *Is there no way or option to somehow know when the mirrors are completely synced to a complete OS?* To check every half day for satisfied deps is at least very time-robbing (This is written on a more stable 10.3 version..in a hope to get a full dvd downloaded, after some 12 hours of trying..;) - -- Have a nice day, M9.
