I just tried to upgrade a VMware instance from 12.3 to 13.1 and I'm getting a complaint about a vmware client incompatibility.
I only have 13.1 and 13.1 updates enabled as a repo.
Zypper dup should work as long as the VM has network access. You do need the oss and non-oss repos enabled as that is where most of the new material will reside. I just successfully updated a real machine with the following repos: finger@pam:~/linux-2.6> zypper lr # | Alias | Name | Enabled | Refresh --+---------------------------+------------------------------------+---------+-------- 1 | openSUSE-13.1-1.14 | openSUSE-13.1-1.14 | Yes | Yes 2 | repo-non-oss | openSUSE-13.1-Non-Oss | Yes | Yes 3 | repo-update | openSUSE-13.1-Update | Yes | Yes 4 | repo-update-non-oss | openSUSE-13.1-Update-Non-Oss | Yes | Yes finger@pam:~/linux-2.6> Larry -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
