The only solution would be to force software rendering through the "llvmpipe" driver, otherwise Plasma 5 will not be able to run on your hardware.
In https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=349519 suggest to export variables
QT_XCB_FORCE_SOFTWARE_OPENGL=1 LIBGL_ALWAYS_SOFTWARE="true"
This will force to use software rendering, instead of hardware OpenGL accelerated.
Thanks for the info. Also thanks to the suggestion of Luca. Only practical problem, where do I insert these solutions. 1: force software rendering 2: export variables -- Linux User 183145 using KDE4 Tumbleweed on a Pentium IV , powered by openSUSE 20151116 (x86_64) Kernel: 4.3.0-1.g7b374a4-default KDE Development Platform: 4.14.12 09:52am up 15:27, 2 users, load average: 0.43, 0.37, 0.44 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
