I just attempted installing it on a KDE3-only 11.4 system with zypper.conf having installRecommends = no, and zypper wanted to install 56 new packages (cln, clucene-core, giflib, gstreamer...kde4-greeter-plugins...branding...branding...theme...theme...soprano, soprano-backend-redland).
