xine-lib 1.1.17 calls for the above library which no longer is part of xorg-x11-libxcb-devel. There is just libxcb-shape.so.0.0.0 and its symlinks, also libxcb-shape.la which is used, it's still looking for the .a even with --enable-shared. I seem to remember that we were getting rid of .a libraries in openSUSE, the .a library was still hanging around unowned and unusable after up upgrades. I should think the problem is with the source code. Can anyone suggest a workaround - or may be the xine developers need to be made aware. Regards Sid. -- Sid Boyce ...
