I'm having a problem displaying flash files. In Firefox (27.0.1) when I attempt to display a flash file it displays a message that I need to install flash player. The problem is that flash player IS installed.
I recall seeing some messages recently on this list or the openSUSE list regarding this problem but have not been able to find it again. The solution was to remove some internal flash files for Firefox. Those files were either in /usr or /var and had an extension of *.stw (?) but haven't been able to find those either.
It would be appreciated if someone could either supply the file-names & location or point me to that message thread.
Thanks, Tom Linux plugins use a library file ".so " extension. For 64-bit, I found mine in /usr/lib64/browser-plugins/libflashplayer.so .
For 32-bit check in /usr/lib/browser-plugins/ directory. No ".stw" file extension. Did you install the Flash file from the Adobe website? And, did you download Firefox from the Mozilla website ore openSUSE. Use the Firefox provided by openSUSE. Install Flash from the openSUSE Non-Oss repository. Once installed it won't matter what version of Firefox you are installing or updating. - -- Cheers! Roman - -------------------------------------------- openSUSE -- Get it! Discover it!
