My guess is that this is a cleanup snapshot, removing old detritus. The older the system, the more is removed.
Factory (and later, openSUSE 13.2) has a list of packages that have been dropped from factory/the distribution. On zypper dup of the "openSUSE-distribution" package, zypper will (try to) remove these old packages if they are not used by anything else.
Besides looking at what zypper shows as REMOVED you should also peek a look at what NEW things it installs; you may find boost-license1_54_0 there for example.
Ok, perhaps I was a bit hasty or overwhelmed by the shear volume. I will apply locks to checkinstall which is still rather handy and perhaps fam, but tightvnc has been replaced by tigervnc and can go with the rest. tks, -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA @ptilopteri http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member facebook/ptilopteri http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://linuxcounter.net -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
