Hi,
Any idea of the prefered way? I have several server where X is installed, but rarely used and I don't want them to have X lauched as default I've just tested on my Virtual Machine with 12.1 RC2, using systemd and adding "3" to the GRUB menu (I mean while booting) booted the 3rd runlevel. I have network, no X and.. Hmm everything's fine.
Adding a 3 to my GRUB options line booted to a command line on my real machine as well. For some reason, there was about a 40-second pause just after all partitions were mounted, but it booted. As my network is controlled by NM, it was not running, but no X.

The pause is most likely other services being started but not reported like they were with init. -- Ken Schneider SuSe since Version 5.2, June 1998 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
