That was 6 years ago, the LSB has changed a lot since then. Not as much as some of us would like, but I wouldn't count it out just yet :)
BTW Drepper only criticiced the value of LSB's ABI part which would be needed for portable binary shipped sofware. He has not claimed that LSB is dead.
