The nvidia G04 packages from their repo do not include the modules for kernel 5.12.9. After fixing the links, I had to do the following: cd /usr/src/kernel-modules/nvidia-390.143-default/ sudo make sudo cp *.ko /usr/lib/modules/5.12.9-1-default/updates/. sudo depmod -a The last two commands are required because the Makefile does not have an install section, thus the install has to be done manually.
