What repositories should I have enabled? I understand that 'Factory' is open for new package versions, so that's moving beyond 12.3 already. So where is the 'real' 12.3 repo, then?
Stealthily right where intuition tells you they should be. It took me a whole lot of releases to figure the following out. While to look at http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/ one would think there are not yet repos for 12.3, fact is they are there. [tl;dr: http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/12.3 ]
This is just an apache-level mod_rewrite redirect pointing to /factory-snapshot/repo/oss.
I thought factory-snapshot was only changed at milestone release times to sync with the latest iso releases. Less than a week ago (4-5 days?) when I HTTP installed from factory-snapshot, changed the repos to 12.3 on first boot, then did zypper dup, where did the new packages come from? -- "The wise are known for their understanding, and pleasant words are persuasive."
