Devs,
For 11.2 is the use of /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist deprecated in openSuSE?
No, but the file name was changed to /etc/modprobe.d/50-blacklist.conf. The new module-init-tools will accept only the files *.conf for good reasons (think about the backup file).

I have also noticed that /etc/permissions.local is apparently not looked at any more. This came from my Amarok problem with /dev/dsp and /dev/mixe*. I added to permission.local to change them to 666 from 660 and it is now seem at bootup.
