systemd recently got a feature named 'Journal'. See https://docs.google.com/document/pub?id=1IC9yOXj7j6cdLLxWEBAGRL6w l97tFxgj LUEHIX3MSTs
I hope this will address the missing feature.
Yep, the "journal" which does binary logging only (let the flames begin!!) will likely address this problem. ;)
Yea let them well here's one thermic lance up the rear lets have things that dont need yet more tools to read them ALL logging should be plain text for ease of problem solving..
The good thing about journald is that it works for systemd only. So no need to flame against this particular piece of crap but concentrate on systemd :) Moreover it wouldn't be Poettering style if systemd would not even depend on journald soon. In this case journald will just be another good argument against systemd and for still keeping sysvinit maintained. cu, Rudi -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
