Again, thanks for the suggestions. I'd prefer not to install osc (password in config file or get keyrings working, which I've never been able to do), so I searched "transfig" at https://build.opensuse.org/ and got to: https://build.opensuse.org/search?search_text=transfig

And: https://build.opensuse.org/groups/maintenance-opensuse.org So ... if I didn't make any mistakes along the way, would the proper protocol be to create an OBS account and contact Martin Pluskal or file an "Incoming Request" to the maintanance group? Or just go through Bugzilla and let them forward it appropriately? As always with open source, if I got a response to my "transfig pulls in 2000+ textlive packages" complaint (which is more of a feature request than a bug report) of "That's the way we designed it", that would be acceptable. I'd just be curious if it was instead, "Oh, we didn't realize that. Maybe we'll change it." Axel Braun wrote:

Yes, I saw the early discussion (which I can't find now) but not the bugzilla. I'll try reinstalling jupyter (which I removed along with all of 310, plus some 311 dependencies). Thanks.
