If you use external kernel modules, I strongly suggest you don't use Tumbleweed unless you know what you are doing, as the kernel updates are

It's just the vboxadditions and I've been successfully running Tumbleweed in VBoxes right from its day one :)
I have zero experience with external modules other than that and it has always worked.
