all 32bit consumer CPU are behind moral and physical service life .
Morals must be different in your country than in mine. There's no moral or physical reason here to junk a PC just because it's 5 years old. My newest of many functioning test PCs running openSUSE was manufactured ~6 years ago. The motherboard I'm typing this with is about 7-8 years old. When caps go bad, I replace the caps, not the motherboard. It's an eco-friendly way of life, maybe using more energy daily, but less energy in recycling processes, less consumption of scarce resources, and less energy and waste in landfill management. -- "The wise are known for their understanding, and pleasant words are persuasive."
