I guess nVidia is providing RPMs and not Novell so you'd have to ask them ;)
Actually, no. Nvidia provides the rpms that are made by opensuse from the files that nvida makes. Rather roundabout :-p
ftp://download.nvidia.com/opensuse/README
When you put it that way, I will wait till the GM release of 11.3.
What have you expected :) ? It was always that way.
Er... No, not really. Time ago you had to go to the nvidia site, find the place, download the archive, read the instructions, prepare the kernel sources, run some thing, attend to the errors, modify the xorg configuration... and then, repeat every time the kernel was updated - with a lapse to text mode after a non-booting graphical mode. No, it hasn't always be this easy. Now we have an rpm, hosted by Nvidia, and prepared by Novell, from the binaries made by nvidia (see readme above). Plausible denial, sort of. And it works. Fortunately. Happy users. :-) - -- Cheers, Carlos E.
