Hello, I recently switched from leap to TW and got some trouble with network- connection icon(on a black panel) when connection to vpn, so I started to investigate that. amongst others, I checked that package: NetworkManager-branding-openSUSE-42.1-4.2.noarch slemke@linux-kdb6:~> rpm -ql NetworkManager-branding-openSUSE-42.1-4.2.noarch /etc/NetworkManager/NetworkManager.conf /usr/share/licenses/NetworkManager-branding-openSUSE /usr/share/licenses/NetworkManager-branding-openSUSE/COPYING ---------- slemke@linux-kdb6:~> cat /etc/NetworkManager/NetworkManager.conf [main] plugins=keyfile [connectivity] uri=http://conncheck.opensuse.org ---------- Seems 'http://conncheck.opensuse.org' is not acessible anyway and I cannot ping it. So as I could not find use for that rpm in my system I tried to remove it, it then starts a binding all around asking to remove much more then I expected: ---------- slemke@linux-kdb6:~> zypper rm NetworkManager-branding- openSUSE-42.1-4.2.noarch (...) The following application is going to be REMOVED: Networks The following 10 packages are going to be REMOVED: NetworkManager NetworkManager-applet NetworkManager-applet-lang NetworkManager-branding-openSUSE NetworkManager-lang plasma5-session plasma5-session-wayland plasma-nm5 plasma-nm5-lang tlp-rdw ---------- maybe I should just fill up a bug for this ? I was in doubt here or bugzilla, started here as Im not even sure this is a bug or a feature. thanks, srl -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
