Can packages in 11.4 standard or update repositories build against packages provided in the tumbleweed update repository.? No, tumbleweed builds against 11.4, not the other way around.

What are the criteria for packages to get a link in tumbleweed?
Isn't that posted somewhere on the wiki? I don't have web access at the moment, but it's there somewhere... Anyway, the rules are: - the package is in openSUSE:Factory - it builds correctly against openSUSE:Tumbleweed - you ask me (email or submitrequest)
I have a blender-2.57b release which can't build with python3-3.1 it needs 3.2, do I have to wait for 3.2 to hit factory before I start bugging the python people to send it to tumbleweed, I can then submit blender to Packman.
Upgrading python versions is going to be "fun" in Tumbleweed. I have a plan on how to do it, just haven't had to do it yet as we haven't upgraded it. If the python developers think a newer version is stable enough, I'll be glad to take it, just have them let me know. hope this helps, greg k-h -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
