Not sure if the new taskbar will make it into KR 4.8. A rewrite like this will undoubtly carry its own bugs. AFAIK the QML versions have to be at least as good as the old pure C++ ones in order to get accepted.
I'm sure us users will dig up a few bugs that will make the developers say "Why in the world would you click like that?" :-)
My question is, what can we do to fix it?
Ship Smooth Tasks by default if the bug is really that bad.
Is it bad? Well, it doesn't stop me from using KDE4 in any way... but visually it's pretty obvious. It's something that stands out when you're using KDE. It would be nice if there was something we could do about it before we ship 12.1 - I wish I knew enough C++ to produce a patch, but unfortunately I'm better at being annoying on the mailing list than I am at coding :-) C. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
