Hi,

with the latest snapshot, kwin_x11 no longer produces these errors, but plasmashell still does.
after a few more test, all of the problems still exist 8-<
Now even while running some graphic programs the nouveau driver gives error messages like the one below.
kernel: nouveau E[<prg>[<pid>]] fail set_domain kernel: nouveau E[<prg>[<pid>]] validating bo list kernel: nouveau E[<prg>[<pid>]] validate: -22
The system is nearly unusable now 8-(
I've had an unusable Plasma5 system for the past month through graphics breaking up and system freezing. Found out that renaming ".config/plasmashellrc" so a new one was created has fixed the problem or at least it seems to have done. It hints at a system change being incompatible with old configuration files; something that I'm well used to with KDE.
Sorry, I think I've led you up the garden path. System looked OK for a few hours but then started looking like a demented cubist painting for a while before the Black Screen of Death appeared. So glad for the reset button on my machine as nothing else worked. Good luck with your problems, I'm going to be sticking with KDE4 for a while longer. -- Graham Davis, Bracknell, Berks. openSUSE 13.2 (64-bit); KDE 4.14.9; AMD Phenom II X2 550 Processor; Kernel: 4.1.2; Video: nVidia GeForce 210 (using nouveau driver); Sound: ATI SBx00 Azalia (Intel HDA) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
