The repo version is newer for probably hundreds of packages.
Sorry I didn't interpret porperly: all installed packages are newer on repo than on DVD. However there seems to have been no net traffic spike; but the installed packages have the repo version (o.k., rpm release number), not the DVD one. When disabling the repo installation sources leaving only the DVD source, all installed packages are shown in red (newer installed than available). This doesn't seem to happen with packages installed after initial installation. What I can't work out is why the installed packages are newer than the DVD packages when nothing was downloaded... As there are repo packages which aren't on the DVD, it's sort of necessary to have the repo configured as source too.
