None of the files necessary to be able to use kaffeine/xine (eg, w32codec) to view digital TV or DVDs are to be seen in the packman directory.
you're correct, these files are still missing. i have w32 codecs installed from packman 11.1, and kaffeine / kde 3.5 does not work. the beta (or alpha?) version of kaffeine for 4.3 does work though, at least with the movies i tried it on. the packman factory repo until now contains only a fraction of the files found in other versions, and i guess they're in the process of compiling everything against factory. anyway, even under openSUSE 11.1 i've always found some formats that didn't play, or didn't play well under kaffeine, and i'm keeping VLC around for this purpose. difficult to find something that VLC can't play. -- ys phani. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
