I'm running Tumbleweed: $ cat /etc/os-release NAME=openSUSE VERSION="20150714 (Tumbleweed)" VERSION_ID="20150714" PRETTY_NAME="openSUSE 20150714 (Tumbleweed) (x86_64)" ID=opensuse ANSI_COLOR="0;32" CPE_NAME="cpe:/o:opensuse:opensuse:20150714" BUG_REPORT_URL="https://bugs.opensuse.org" HOME_URL="https://opensuse.org/" ID_LIKE="suse" When I run "nscd -g" as either root or the nscd statistics user, I get an error message: $ /usr/sbin/nscd -g /usr/sbin/nscd: cannot read statistics data: Invalid argument This is a regression from OpenSUSE 13.1 in which statistics are returned: $ /usr/sbin/nscd -g nscd configuration: 0 server debug level 2s server runtime 5 current number of threads 32 maximum number of threads 0 number of times clients had to wait no paranoia mode enabled 3600 restart internal 5 reload count (output shortened) --- E.T.
