building NVidia 295.59 driver kernel-desktop-3.6.0-2.1.x86_64 fails. /var/log/nvidia-installer.log is at: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/~pat/nvidia-installer.log
The kernel has changed and that version of the nvidia driver is too old. Latest version is 304.51 which works without alteration as does most or all of the 304 versions.
The fix when this error first appeared with early 3.6-rc kernels was to change remove the contents in the brackets in nv-acpi.c so it looks like below. acpi_os_wait_events_complete();
There are patches for those older Nvidia drivers at http://www.lwfinger.net/nvidia_patches/patch_nvidia_295_71.run_for_3.6. Although that one was specifically for v295.71, it should apply to 295.59. The file readme.txt in that same directory will tell how to use the patch.
