[opensuse-factory] zypper dup from leap421 to 422 renders system unbootable

I dup'ed a test system from 421 to 422, which ended up unbootable - the initrd does not include the necessary disk controller modules. When I tried rebuilding the initrd manually, it complained that module "scsi_dh" could not be found. Also, I cannot install 422 on the same system,it does not recognise the disk controller. (HP Smart Array 6i).
