What Martin write means you should allow Xorg use the integrated modeset driver by not having xf86-video-intel installed. It's easier and simpler than configuring manually via /etc/X11/xorg.conf* to not use an installed xf86-video-intel driver. If it doesn't help, reinstall it.
The switch to the integrated modest driver does not work. It still asks for xf86-video-intel.
Do you have an xorg.conf that refers to the intel driver?
No, there is no xorg.conf
Interesting in this context: same issue as described in the bug is visible in runlevel 3 as well. So you can't even use the command prompt with kernel 4.13.1
You probably need to check and redo the initrd after removing the modules?
Did that as well, but did not help. Best, Axel -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
