I added a suggestion how one probably can get the exact old behaviour back in https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1059438#c26
Does it work for you?
I'll try later, I'm on a different machine. But I doubt it will work on console.
This seems to be handled in /etc/sysconfig/keyboard by adding something like
COMPOSETABLE="clear winkeys shiftctrl latin1.add"
It does use different compose tables than X, though.
On my 42.3 machine I have (and it works): COMPOSETABLE="clear latin1.add" I'll try that for now and reboot. [...] No, it does not work. Now I'll try your version [...] No luck. The fact that the comments on the file about the compose feature have disappeared must mean that the feature has been disabled. -- Cheers/Saludos Carlos E. R.
