Hi list,
hunting some issue on my desktop I noticed it does not store the journal(s):
lux:~ # journalctl --list-boots 0 b1a97bfa6cb04cb3a7e7dcac24467383 Thu 2018-02-22 23:51:50 CET—Fri 2018-02-23 10:20:27 CET
Always only the current one is available. Hmmm. After some digging and comparing to my laptop, I found that rsyslog is installed: S | Name | Type | Version | Arch | Repository --+----------------+---------+------------+--------+-------------------- i | rsyslog | package | 8.32.0-1.1 | x86_64 | openSUSE-Tumbleweed i | syslog-service | package | 2.0-789.3 | noarch | openSUSE-Tumbleweed
Is this now the new default? It is an install from end December 2017, and I cannot remember acively selecting this...
Hi Peter It might depend on which pattern, but certainly in "server text-mode" I think rsyslog has been the default for a while - I always have to install syslog-ng instead. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (-1.1°C) http://www.dns24.ch/ - free dynamic DNS, made in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
