any help would be great!
By the way doing a local net install via NFS worked great!
YUM support is known to be broken atm. A fixed version will go out these days (or with beta8).

What is the best way to update beta6 from the factory tree then? Sorry if this is on the wiki but I can't find it.
best way will be most likely to update libzypp* zmd and rug packages manually and than try to add the yum repository and doing the update. http://en.opensuse.org/Factory_via_rug -- Adrian Schroeter SUSE Linux Products GmbH, Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nuernberg, Germany email: adrian@suse.de
