It is "3". On the CD boot menu there should be an option to verify the CD/DVD. Try that.
Additionally, using the "burned" iso image it works up to the point of having chosen the install type so I think the system is working ok from the burned image ( which is the way I've always done installs in the past). It just stops working at the same place every time so far -- even on 3 differenct media (one for the 11/16, 6/13 and Network) --
