Some here may recall I started http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse/2014-01/msg00008.html on Jan 1 and a long discussion following. I wound up setting up dnsmasq on my LAN server. An extended power outage last month left me with Samba/CIFS problems on the LAN. In the process of finding a solution I disabled dnsmasq and changed resolv.conf on all Linux installations booted since to use the IP of my router. I still have dnsmasq turned off. The fedora-devel list just had https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/Default_Local_DNS_Resolver announced. I searched openFATE for anything similar and recognized nothing. Is this something 13.1 and/or 13.2 already has? If not, is it planned and Google just failed to locate anything about it on opensuse.org for me? If not already existing or planned, shouldn't it be? -- "The wise are known for their understanding, and pleasant words are persuasive." Proverbs 16:21 (New Living Translation) Team OS/2 ** Reg.
