I plan to submit it next week.
Version 3.7.1 was released two weeks ago, and I was packaging it for openSUSE/SLES/FreeBSD/etc. and also waiting to see if there are any show stoppers in this brand new release. Some of the new functionality (Java based destinations) is a bit problematic, as depends on a recent gradle release and the availability of JAR files not in openSUSE. But for the rest its fine, thanks to a large number of automatic tests used during development.
If you would like to try 3.7.1 on something other than Leap, it's currently available in my home repo at: https://build.opensuse.org/project/show/home:czanik:syslog-ng37
OK. I have Leap installed (but not yet started) and I have syslog-ng 3.7.1 prepared for Factory / Leap based on the above mentioned package. I removed parts related to dependencies not available in openSUSE (java and riemann) and made the spec file a bit easier to read. I also made everything for SLES 11 and 12 to work, but at the end it turned out that some core dependencies are missing. So you either need to branch syslog-ng from Base:System to your home repo and add them, or use my "full extra" syslog-ng packages from above. I'll submit syslog-ng 3.7.1 to Base:System & Factory + Leap tomorrow, after a bit more testing. Until that you can find the packages at https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/home:czanik:branches:Base:System/sys...
