Hi. I thought about upgrading to Tumbleweed instead of 12.1 in November however according to the Wiki page it does not really work with proprietary NVidia drivers.
As I don't need the best performance, I wouldn't mind using the Gallium3D-based Nouveau driver but unless I missed something, nothing Gallium-related is included in the repo. Is there any chance to see Gallium3D drivers included into Tumbleweed in the foreseeable future?

Tumbleweed and 12.1 will converge and be the same for a short while and then diverge as Tumbleweed progresses and 12.1 is locked at one place in time. That would be a good time to experiment with the nvidia proprietary drivers. As far as I recall, no one who uses Tumbleweed and stays with nvidia has had a serious problem with the proprietary drivers. There is an install help sheet on this link: http://forums.opensuse.org/content/38-swerdna-nvidia-opensuse-tumbleweed-har... And ppl in the TW forum who will help you. But of course, there is always the Nouveau option if it gets too hard. I don't like nouveau yet (on my computer it's not too good). It will improve of course, but for now I'm locked to nvidia and find it easy to use.
